Whenever I see something like this, I automatically think about the amount of creative thought and craftsmanship that went into building it. Just imagine... 30,000 individual pieces of glass. Every last one meticulously cut, shaped, and arranged into a structure designed to withstand not only its own weight, but the structural loads of everything mother nature can throw at it. That's far from a trivial task! The fact that it has been standing since 1897 is even more amazing to me. Just imagine the amount of patience and ingenuity that went into that. Thanks for sharing!
